I know it's been awhile since my last blog, but life tends to overwhelm us from time to time. So, as I sit here playing about my tenth game of Spider Solitaire, and losing, I felt I should write a quick blog.
Maybe I should start at the beginning. My crazy summer started with a trip to Georgia to visit with family for a few weeks. It's a trip I took for the first time about a year ago, and I try to make this trip at least once a year, if I can.
This trip, however, while I had a great time seeing all my family and catching up, was started on a very heavy, very sad note. A few weeks before my flight was to ever take off, I got the news that a friend of mine had been killed in a motorcycle crash. Worst yet, the crash happened the day before Mother's Day.
It was a total accident, no drugs or alcohol was found. A man in a SUV pulling out of a bank, just simply didn't see him. A funeral was set for a few days later, the same day I would be landing at the Atlanta Airport.
A few tears shed and bags packed, I went. The idea of no longer having my friend in my life still makes me sad. But life has to go on. You live each day as if it were your last, and never pass up a chance to tell someone you love them.
With that said, on to some happy news. I'm packing my bags yet again, and hitting the road. I'm going to the zoo.....the liquidzoo that is. This unfortunately is only going to be only a one stop on the tour road trip, as budget and a job are stopping me from hitting more shows. But I'm making the most of my one show, and if you see this crazy redhead at the show, come say hi.
Also, you can't keep me away now, I'll be coming back for SBL...whenever it is. It's just too much fun to stop.
So, I'll bring this blog to a close, and I'll see you at the show.
